Questions about this service
Can you carry out this work in my home?
Surface stripping produces fumes and dust, so we typically collect the table top or the entire piece to complete the work within our Newton Street workshop.
How long will the table remain in your workshop?
A standard dining table usually requires between five and seven working days to allow proper curing between finish coats.
Will existing deep scratches disappear completely?
Deep indentations can often be gently steamed out or blended, though we take care not to remove excess timber purely to erase honest age marks.
Why Clients Entrust Their Furniture to Us
Protection Against Heat and Moisture
The selected hardwax oils prevent ring marks from warm crockery and ordinary domestic spills.
Retained Natural Character
We do not over-sand; historic marks and timber grain remain visible beneath a clean surface.
Structural Rigidity
Traditional hide or aliphatic resin glues ensure the table frame remains sturdy for decades to come.
Our Workshop Assurance
We stand behind the stability of our timber joinery and the durability of our finishes. If a re-glued joint falters or an agreed finish exhibits defects under ordinary household use within twelve months, we will return to make it right without further charge. Pricing & payment

What Our Clients Note
The Victorian dining table had two split leaves and unstable legs. Healthysimplehabits collected it from our home, reinforced the undercarriage with reclaimed oak, and French polished the surface. The table looks magnificent and stands solid.
Edward M., Manchester, GBArthur attended to our family bureau with tremendous care. The pigeonhole drawers slide smoothly once more and the original patina was conserved rather than stripped away. Exceptional, polite service from Newton Street.
Clare H., Salford, GBA set of six mahogany chairs had broken dowels and loose rail joints. The workshop re-glued every frame using traditional hide glue. They were returned carefully wrapped in blankets and remain entirely rigid.
