Parties and Scope of Agreement
This contract is entered into between Healthysimplehabits, registered at 52 Newton Street, Manchester, M1 1ED, and the commissioning client. Our services encompass the structural repair, superficial surface finishing, and conservation of timber furniture items, as well as remote educational consultations. We do not manufacture mass production timber goods nor provide upholstery fabric replacements.
Booking Procedure and Quotations
Initial estimates provided over the telephone or by digital messaging are provisional. A binding quotation is issued only after our craftsmen inspect the furniture piece or examine clear, well-lit photographs showing joint details and finishes. Quotations remain valid for thirty calendar days from issue, after which they may be subject to review based on timber availability.
Performance of Work and Access to Premises
When on-site repairs are booked, the client must provide a safe, dry, well-ventilated working area with reasonable lighting and access to mains electricity. The client must clear all fragile household items from the vicinity of the furniture piece prior to our arrival. For workshop repairs, collection and delivery times will be arranged mutually, and access must permit the safe transit of heavy items to personal safety or building fabric.
Prices, Payment After Completion, and Invoices
All fees are stated in pounds sterling. Payment in full is due immediately upon satisfactory completion of on-site work or upon redelivery of furniture from our Newton Street workshop. We accept cash on completion or direct bank transfer against our issued invoice. We do not accept card payments, card terminals, or online merchant payment links under any circumstance.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Clients may cancel or reschedule a scheduled home appointment or workshop collection without penalty by providing at least twenty-four hours notice. Where cancellation occurs with less than twenty-four hours notice, we reserve the right to charge a call-out contribution of forty pounds to offset vehicle and scheduling overheads.
Liability, Insurance, and Complaints
Healthysimplehabits carries five million pounds in public liability insurance. We take the greatest care with all client pieces; however, we cannot be held accountable for pre-existing latent woodworm infestations, internal dry rot, or historical structural fractures not reasonably discoverable during initial inspection. Any complaints regarding finish quality or joint stability must be notified to us within seven calendar days of delivery so we may inspect and rectify the matter.
Governing Law
These terms and all service agreements concluded with Healthysimplehabits are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Both parties agree that the courts of England and Wales hold exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of our work.
